Šišeta landfill fire near Goražde pollutes air, schools move online
A fire at the illegal Šišeta landfill near Goražde, which began the previous afternoon, has according to reports from the scene spread across the whole site. Authorities say the fire is contained on all sides but still burning in deeper layers, and assistant mayor for civil protection Sanid Zirak said efforts are for now partly succeeding. The IQAir air quality index stood at 424 this morning. Biljana Plavšić dies, funeral announced in Banja Luka
Biljana Plavšić, former president of Republika Srpska, has died in Belgrade, sources close to her family confirmed. Election commission sets schedule for 4 October general elections

Čvrsnica fire still active, Armed Forces helicopter makes 11 water drops
A fire on Čvrsnica remains active, the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton civil protection centre reported. Jablanica firefighters worked from 10am to 6pm. An Armed Forces of BiH helicopter made 11 water drops between 3:20pm and 4:15pm. According to the same source, the fire is spreading via falling stumps and underground roots.
