Candidate of the European Serbia list makes claims about household and public debt

Dušan Nikezić, a candidate on the European Serbia list, claimed average household cash-loan debt is now around 4,000 euros, ten times higher than 14 years ago, and that Aleksandar Vučić incurred 27 billion euros in state debt over his time in power, with caretaker finance minister Siniša Mali allegedly presenting this as positive.

List of Čačak residents opposed to SNS circulates with personal data

Portal Nova.rs reports that a list called "Provera blokadera – Čačak" is circulating in Čačak, naming citizens, journalists and activists opposed to the ruling SNS party, along with their personal data such as addresses and phone numbers; a lawyer says if claims the data reached SNS are confirmed there could be grounds to suspect a data-protection offence, and a protest was held over the case.

Serbia's election commission rejects Student List complaints over diaspora voting ahead of 25 October election

Serbia's election commission (RIK) rejected Student List complaints about the number of polling stations and voting hours abroad for the 25 October parliamentary election, prompting the student movement to announce an appeal to the Administrative Court and accuse RIK of 'election sabotage'. The Student List says over 111,000 citizens registered to vote abroad in 37 countries, while RIK approved 93 polling stations and tied overseas voting hours to Serbia's local time.

Belgrade Waterworks announces water supply interruptions in Novi Beograd from October 12 to 17

Belgrade Waterworks has announced intermittent water supply interruptions and reduced pressure at night from 22:00 to 06:00 between October 12 and 17, due to network flushing in the Novi Beograd municipality. Works will proceed block by block, and residents are advised to prepare water supplies as brief water cloudiness may occur.

Bećković endorses "Authentic Right" list ahead of Serbia's snap parliamentary elections

Academic Matija Bećković has endorsed the "Authentic Right – Dr Miloš Jovanović" list, formed by the New DSS and Monarchists, ahead of Serbia's snap parliamentary elections set for October 25. According to a statement by the New DSS, Bećković said it was time for Serbia to "put a crown on its head," referencing the crown already present on the state coat of arms and flag.

Tepić announces financial probes into officials' assets and a fund to recover looted money

Marinika Tepić, one of the leaders of the 'European Serbia' electoral list, said the list would push for systematic financial investigations into the assets of officials, party figures and businesspeople suspected of illicit enrichment. She said any illegally acquired assets would go into a 'Fund for the Return of Looted Money' meant to compensate victims and fund healthcare, education and infrastructure.

Long truck queues at border crossings toward Croatia and Hungary

Border police and Serbia's road operator report truck waits of about four hours at Batrovci toward Croatia, three hours at Šid, 90 minutes at Bezdan, and 60 minutes at Kelebija toward Hungary, with passenger cars waiting about 30 minutes at Batrovci; a flyover repair near the Markovac-Velika Plana interchange has closed lanes toward Belgrade.
