A road accident occurred on the Rostovo mountain pass when a passenger car left the road for reasons not yet established, and football referee Armin Kukić from Bugojno, en route to officiate a match in Zenica, stopped to help the injured until emergency services arrived.

Air-quality monitoring station installed near the PPK Velebit waste site in Gospić

A monitoring station has been installed at the PPK Velebit illegal waste site in Gospić to track PM2.5, PM10 and metal concentrations in the air during the site's remediation, according to Lika-Senj County. Trial begins for killing of Danka Ilic before Higher Court in Negotin

The trial of Dejan Dragijevic and Srdjan Jankovic, indicted for the aggravated murder of two-year-old Danka Ilic, is due to begin on 30 October before the Higher Court in Negotin, after the indictment by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Zajecar became final. The court rejected media requests for a copy of the indictment, citing risk to the upcoming proceedings, and the girl's body has still not been found.

Police in Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Goražde reported for 09-12 October 2026 a drug seizure and arrest, two traffic accidents in Goražde, two drunk-driving arrests, and a report of skeletal remains resembling a skull found in the Borovac area, with the investigation ongoing. The remains were reported by a person from Sarajevo who had been hunting there.

Pedestrian on Zagreb bypass near Kosnica, delays on A3 and A4 motorways

The Croatian Automobile Club reports a pedestrian on the Zagreb bypass near the Kosnica junction towards Bregana, where traffic runs on two lanes with a speed limit. Further disruptions include a crash on the A3 between Lipovljani and Kutina, debris on the road between Okučani and Novska, tailbacks on the bypass and A4 motorway, and wind-related vehicle restrictions on the Adriatic highway.

Police in Istria have reported that a fire which broke out on Friday at the Metis recycling centre in Pula's Šijana district was caused by a thermal reaction inside a pile of unsorted waste; the blaze was contained that evening and fully extinguished by Saturday morning, with one firefighter slightly injured.

Police in Zrenjanin detain two activists of the PUF movement during an SNS rally

Police in Zrenjanin detained two activists, named in reports as Minja (Milan) Pernat and Petar Petrović, from the PUF movement during a pro-government rally for Aleksandar Vučić's list and the SNS party. The PUF movement said the activists, who intended to ask questions, were held at a police station until the rally ended, while other members and a KTV television crew were reportedly blocked from moving freely.
