Analyst assesses SNSD as absolute election winner in Republika Srpska

Political science professor Nina Sajić assessed on the Republika Srpska Media System – SRNA podcast that the SNSD is the absolute winner of the elections in Republika Srpska, attributing the result to events involving party leader Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska over the past two years. She highlighted the role of SNSD figures, notably Željka Cvijanović and Savo Minić, in convincing voters, and said the victory was unexpected for many, particularly in some areas.

US conservative activist Evi Kokalari has claimed, citing her sources, that Telekom Srbija funded a trip by Katie Wiles and Chris LaCivita to Republika Srpska last August, saying this would mean the Serbian government paid for it if confirmed, though no independent confirmation has been published. The claim follows earlier New York Times reporting that LaCivita and James Blair advised the RS government ahead of BiH elections, paid via a Washington law firm.

Ponoš calls on opposition to discuss possible refusal to hand over power after elections

Zdravko Ponoš, leader of the Srbija centar party and a top candidate on the Evropska Srbija list, said in a podcast that opposition actors should already begin discussing what to do if the current authorities do not hand over power peacefully after the snap parliamentary elections set for 25 October. He also said a vote for the Evropska Srbija list is not a wasted vote but a safe vote for a European Serbia.
