Slovenia referendum rejects law on parliamentary inquiry

In a Slovenian legislative referendum, voters rejected a law on parliamentary inquiry that the opposition said the ruling coalition sought to use as a kind of political police, while the ruling SDS-aligned side won on the three other advisory referendums, per the State Election Commission. With 95.3% of votes counted, 50.50% voted against the law and 49.50% for it, with the closest advisory result concerning abolition of the public broadcaster subscription fee.

Minić announces programme for children to visit regions of Republika Srpska

Banovići mine gets director with full mandate after affair involving former director

The Supervisory Board of the Banovići brown coal mine appointed Enes Šabanović, previously acting director, as director with a mandate until June 2028, following the Federation government's approval on 30 September. The appointment follows an affair involving former director Rasim Dostović, arrested in March, with the Supreme Court of FBiH's Special Department confirming an indictment against him and Damir Mujkić of Lukavac for receiving and giving a bribe.
