Police in Novi Sad arrested a 49-year-old woman, I. S., suspected of illegal trade in excise goods after a search found nearly 50,000 packs of untaxed cigarettes and 237.2 kg of cut tobacco, with a criminal complaint to be filed with the Novi Sad prosecutor's office.

Man arrested in Belgrade on suspicion of possessing and selling heroin

Belgrade police arrested a 49-year-old man, identified by initials N. P., on suspicion of unauthorised possession and sale of narcotics, acting on an order from the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade. A search of his vehicle, flat on Savski venac and shared building areas turned up about 200 grams of heroin, 36.6 kilograms of cutting agent, and cash in euros and dinars, with the suspect held for up to 48 hours.
