Two men arrested in Banja Luka on suspicion of three thefts

Banja Luka police report that two men, identified as Z. P. and N. M., were arrested in an operation codenamed "Rental" on suspicion of break-ins at a shopping centre, a market and a petrol station in Banja Luka between July and October, allegedly stealing cash and cigarettes with damages reported by Oslobođenje at over 40,000 KM.

Two people arrested in Banja Luka over three aggravated burglaries

Banja Luka police said that in an operation called "Rental" they arrested two local residents, identified by initials Z.P. and N.M, suspected of three aggravated burglaries at two shops and a petrol station. Police said the damage is estimated at over 40,000 KM, with money and cigarettes reportedly stolen.

Woman detained on suspicion of attempted murder at market in Herceg Novi

Montenegro's Supreme State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica said a woman from Herceg Novi, identified as S.R., has been detained for up to 72 hours on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a man at the city market on 22 October 2026. The prosecution said further evidentiary steps will follow to establish the facts of the case.

BiH court weighing extradition to Russia of young man Croatia previously declined to extradite

A 20-year-old Russian national from Ingushetia, Magomed-Amin Gatagazhev, is held in temporary extradition custody in Bosnia and Herzegovina after Croatia previously declined to extradite him to Russia, which accuses him of involvement in a terrorist organisation and armed formations in Syria. BiH's court says no decision on extradition conditions was made at an October 15 hearing, he was registered as an asylum seeker on October 23 according to the organisation Vaša prava, and his family disputes the charges and fears for his safety.
