A bus and a car collided on the Tuzla-Dubrave regional road at Krojčica, in the Živinice municipality area, police confirmed, with traffic moving along one lane while an on-site investigation continues and no injury information yet available.

Car veers off road and hits pole in Banja Luka's Lauš neighbourhood

A car ran off the road in Banja Luka's Lauš neighbourhood, struck a concrete power pole and flipped onto its roof in a roadside canal on Karađorđeva Street; one person was injured and firefighters from the Banja Luka Fire and Rescue Brigade assisted before the injured person was handed to an ambulance crew.

SDP Youth Forum calls on citizens to seek lift-repair aid after funds approved for building where Komšić lives

The SDP Youth Forum of Sarajevo Canton said that if a disabled person's family's request was enough for Bosnia's Presidency to approve lift-repair funds for the building where Željko Komšić lives, the same principle should apply to other families in a similar situation.The request concerns a 1 October decision approving 12,636 KM from the state institutions' budget reserve for the repair, which Komšić's office explained was based on a resident's request citing her disabled husband.

Sarajevo water utility announces nighttime pressure reduction in Sarajevo Canton

Sarajevo's water utility KJKP ViK announced a reduction in water pressure across Sarajevo Canton from midnight to 6am due to routine system stabilisation work, warning of possible full interruptions in higher floors and peripheral supply areas, with normal supply expected to resume after 6am.

Indictment filed against two men over an attack on Vlašić near Travnik

Prosecutors in Central Bosnia Canton have indicted two men, E. T. and R. T., on suspicion of beating a man, A. Z., on Vlašić near Travnik on 16 May 2025, causing him serious injuries, after a dispute reportedly began over a sheepdog; the indictment was confirmed by the Travnik Municipal Court.

EUFOR and a Vogošća K9 team hold joint search-and-rescue training at Butmir base

A search-and-rescue K9 team from the Vogošća fire association took part in training with EUFOR's aviation unit at Butmir base to strengthen emergency response capacity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sources say the training included preparing the dogs for helicopter missions and searches in situations such as floods, landslides, earthquakes and missing-person cases.

Nedeljko Elek calls on RS citizens to vote for Vučić in Serbia's election and offers to pay for transport

Nedeljko Elek, reportedly removed from public office and expelled from the SNSD party over the summer, called on social media for Republika Srpska citizens to vote for Aleksandar Vučić in Serbia's snap parliamentary election on 25 October. He offered to cover travel costs for those wishing to go vote in Serbia but unable to afford it.

RAK adopts rule establishing a "Do Not Call" registry against marketing calls

The RAK communications regulator adopted Rule 102/2026 establishing a public "Do Not Call" electronic registry, published in BiH's Official Gazette on 9 October, letting citizens and companies block marketing calls, texts and faxes including from political parties, religious communities and charities. The rule takes effect eight days after publication, but the registry itself will only become operational after a technical instruction and a further 120-day setup period.

Reduced water pressure across much of Sarajevo due to low spring levels

Sarajevo's water utility introduced reduced water pressure in numerous neighbourhoods due to lower output from main springs and unfavourable hydrometeorological conditions, aimed at protecting equipment and preserving reservoir supplies, with some higher-lying areas potentially losing water completely during two daily intervals.

Bihać prepares payment of new veterans' allowance from January next year
