Dino Beganović visits Zenica and attends the Čelik-Sarajevo derby at Bilino Polje

Ferrari Driver Academy member and Formula 2 driver Dino Beganović visited Zenica, his parents' hometown, sharing photos from a well-known local cevapi restaurant on social media. Čović and Dodik announce HDZ BiH-SNSD delegation meeting in Banja Luka on government formation

HDZ BiH leader Dragan Čović is to meet SNSD leader Milorad Dodik in Banja Luka on Monday, with RTRS reporting a delegation-level meeting at noon followed by a press conference, after Čović earlier met SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović in Sarajevo on government formation. Dodik said SNSD's existing coalition partners had proven good collaborators.

CEC orders recount and opening of ballot bags at 17 polling stations

The BiH Central Election Commission ordered the Main Counting Centre to hand-count ballots from four polling stations and to open ballot-material bags at 13 more to check their contents and look for missing SIT forms, with manual counting to follow at those sites too if the forms are not found.

Rainy, cloudy weather across Bosnia with a yellow wind warning for the Foča region

The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute forecast mostly cloudy weather with rain and local showers across Bosnia and Herzegovina for Sunday, 11 October, clearing gradually from the northwest while central and eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina remain cloudy longer; a yellow wind warning was issued for the Foča region, with Monday forecast to be partly to mostly cloudy in Bosnia and mostly sunny in Herzegovina with falling temperatures.

Reports by Canadian lobbying firm reveal activities for Republika Srpska authorities toward Israel and Saudi Arabia

Canadian lobbying firm Dickens & Madson, led by Ari Ben-Menashe, filed FARA reports with the US Department of Justice stating it contacted Israeli and Saudi officials on behalf of Republika Srpska's authorities to seek support for the entity's strengthened position and independence from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The contract was reportedly signed in 2025 by RS's representative in Austria, Mladen Filipović, and the claims of Israeli and Saudi backing originate solely from the firm's own report.

Border police find cannabis plants near Brčko, two people arrested

Using a drone in sector A2 near the Sava river, Bosnia's Border Police discovered two sites near Brčko with a total of 41 cannabis-like plants, after which the duty prosecutor at the BiH Prosecutor's Office was notified and ordered surveillance of the area, and two people were arrested.

Students accused of attacking a girl on religious grounds during school trip in Žepče, fan group visits girl

The mother of a pupil at Žepče primary school, Denisa Bečić, publicly accused a group of students of pulling off her daughter's hijab during a school trip to Matinski Vis, which the school confirmed occurred and said it is investigating; the BH Fanaticosi fan group visited the girl, gave her gifts and announced it would take her to a Bosnia national team match.

Difficult traffic conditions across Bosnia and Herzegovina due to wet roads, works and closed sections

According to BIHAMK, roads across Bosnia and Herzegovina are wet and slippery with increased landslide risk on sections in cuttings, and numerous sections have ongoing roadworks with altered traffic regimes. The A-1 motorway section Kakanj-Lašva is closed to all traffic and rerouted to the opposite carriageway, while the Golubinja-Nemila subsection is closed for motorway construction with traffic diverted to the M-17 trunk road.

Changes to BiH indirect taxation authority rules allow the new Gradiška border crossing to operate permanently

BiH Council of Ministers finance minister Srđan Amidžić said changes to the Indirect Taxation Authority's regulations have enabled the new Gradiška border crossing to operate permanently, no longer on a temporary basis, after it became necessary following the collapse of part of the bridge at the old crossing. He also announced the old crossing will reopen once bridge repairs are completed.

Football club Famos bus veers off road en route to Goražde

A bus carrying players and staff of football club Famos from Hrasnica veered off the road en route to Goražde, where a Second League of FBiH match was due to be played, with club statements reporting minor injuries to several team members but no serious injuries. The match was postponed due to the circumstances and the shock experienced by the passengers.

Komšić approves 12,636 KM from budget reserve for lift repair in Sarajevo building

BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić issued a decision allocating 12,636 KM from the institutions' budget reserve to resident Anđelka Nikolić for lift repairs in a residential building at Azize Šaćirbegović 16 in Sarajevo, where media report he himself lives. His office explained the funds were approved based on a request citing a disabled household member and other residents with reduced mobility in the building.

CEC member proposes reforms to BiH's electoral system

Central Election Commission member Suad Arnautović, speaking to FENA, proposed reforms including mandatory voting, voter ID cards, lowering the voting age to 16 and a three-tier election threshold, stressing these are his personal views, not the CEC's official position, and that the central voter register is 'inflated'.

The Republika Srpska Hydrometeorological Institute issued its routine bulletin covering 19 of 21 stations on 16 rivers, with water levels rising at 13 stations, falling at one and stagnant at five, and no station exceeding the flood defence threshold.

Daily overview of waste and landfill fires and removal of explosive ordnance in the Federation of BiH

The Federal Civil Protection Administration reports several smaller fires at landfills, waste sites and buildings across multiple cantons of the Federation of BiH on October 10-11, some of which were extinguished. It also notes that explosive ordnance removal teams removed and destroyed 273 mines/explosive devices and 554 rounds of ammunition between October 2 and 9 across several municipalities and towns.
